Linlithgow Palace Guides have been a part of tradition at Linlithgow Primary School for over 40 years, in partnership with Historic Environment Scotland. It is a unique experience for pupils providing opportunities to develop socially, emotionally and in maturity. It challenges pupils to be self-reliant, responsible and take on a leadership role. Being a Linlithgow Palace Guide is a privilege and a responsibility. Every child in P6 has the opportunity to apply to become a Palace Guide for their P7 year. Training begins in P6 around Easter, supported by Illuminate UK (Junior Tour Guides by Illuminate (opens new window)) and with visits to the Palace.
